Review: I bought my Grand Prix GT brand new with 26 miles on it. It is so much fun to drive and I absolutely love my car.....However... since having my car I have had to replace the transmission, the catalytic converter, the turbo charger, the bearings, the...

Grand Prix GTP - Great car if you're so inclined.

Date of Review:  Oct 31, 2001
The Bottom Line: "Pontiac" type people will absolutely love it. Others should look at cheaper alternatives that perform just as well, if not better (see review for choices).
Review: I bought my 2001 GTP 4 door sedan (black with gray "leather" interior in August of 2000, so I guess 14 months is long enough to have a solid opinion of the car.

A quick summary - this is a great looking car that's a blast to drive, but it...

Grand Prix - Reviews the supercharged GTP

Date of Review:  Dec 7, 2001
The Bottom Line: Recommended 110% for anyone who wants a big taste of performance at a small price.
Review: When the 1997 Grand Prix GTP made its debut, I was shocked that GM had opted to use a supercharged version of its 3.8 engine. Unlike the previous 3.4 liter equipped GTP, the all-new 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, with the GTP package, finally gave the...

Grand Attempt

Date of Review:  May 31, 2006
The Bottom Line: America's take on the sport sedan/coupe...but it can't match Japan's.
Review: I'll admit to being extremely sceptical upon my first drive of the Grand Prix as to whether or not it could deliver. The car belongs to a friend of mine who was concerned that maybe something was wrong with her brakes. This was already turning out...

Style, reliability and performance at a bargain basement price.

Date of Review:  Jun 20, 2004
The Bottom Line: If you want a reliable, sporty looking car with a good amount of space, and good power, without paying a high premium, check out the grand prix.
Review: *update*

Right now you can get them VERY cheap

Date of Review:  Jun 30, 2004
Review: I just sold my 2001 Grand Prix for $6700 with only 50K on it. The only reason why I sold was to get the new GTO. I loved my 2001 baby girl but I just had to have the new one. The only times I ever had to bring the 01 to the shop was for oil changes...

Piece of Junk

Date of Review:  Feb 1, 2006
Review: Two transmissions in 54,000 miles (co-worker had strangely similar experience)--buy the extended warranty. Exterior trim has come off one door. Temperature knob sheared off.

(Updated) 2001 Grand Prix GT... A Great American Performance Sedan

Date of Review:  Apr 15, 2006
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent car. Driven 70 miles per day. Reliable, Powerful & Turns Heads!
Review: I decided to rewrite my opinion on the 2001 Grand Prix, to keep it as short and informative as possible.

Engine/Drivetrain:

The 3800 Series II V6 engine was combined with a 4T65E 4-speed Automatic Transmission. The engine is a...

Driving Excitement

Date of Review:  Feb 22, 2002
The Bottom Line: Check the price tag, then check the ride it satisfies in both areas.
Review: I had traded in my Ford Eddie Bauer Expedition for this honey of a vehicle. With fuel costs rising and the age of the vehicle it was time to move on. I purchased my SE with custom leather at no additional charge and have found it to be a fantastic...

Very satisfied with this car.

Date of Review:  Jan 30, 2002
The Bottom Line: I think this car is a great value for your money; first major tune-up at 100,000 miles.
Review: This is probably one of the most satisfying cars I have ever owned. We have had it for 6 months and have had zero problems with it. Have never taken it back to the dealer for ANYTHING. It handles the road very well and we drive it at least 70 miles...
