Long Live The Pontiac Grand Am

Pros: Great Motor, Fast for a 4 cylinder, reliable as hell

Cons: Rusts Easy, Not a very solid body, Cheap Parts, Easy to fix yourself

The Bottom Line: You may have to put some body work but I will be worth it in the long run GREAT GAS MILAGE

I got a Pontiac at a repo auction for $150. I got for a beater I planed to take out the windows and use it as a kind of go kart. I took it home and with out putting any work into it it started right up. The car was pinging pretty bad but the enterer was in good shape so I decided to try to get the motor running better. I spent $4.00 on new spark plugs and cleaned it up the best I could. With the exception of rust around the bottom of the trim and a hole in the muffler the car cleaned up nice. Soon after my ford Taurus broke down so I got plates on the Grand Am as a temp to get me to college and back till I fixed the Ford. The Grand Am Preformed up and above what I ever expected. I took it out a few times and ran the hell out of it. I maxed the quad 4 out at 127 MPH, I held the car at 110 MPH for about 10 minutes and, I have started it up and ran it cold after it sat for 3 days in 10 degree weather and freezing rain.
Come summer time I am going to sand down the rust spots and patch any holes. I am sold I will only buy GM cars for now on in. if you would like to know what happened to the Ford I already wrote the review look it up
