Functions well, Until you need a Battery!

I've had good luck with the functionality of the Heart Rate Monitor. I've replaced the battery in the Heart Rate Strap several times. Even with the coded transmitter, the unit seems to have intermittent problems with other users with Polar monitors in close proximity.

My bit complaint is that the battery in the watch is not user replaceable. It takes much too long to get a simple battery replacement via the factory authorized service center. When I did get it replaced, replacement took over a month, and the battery lasted less than a year. The cost of the battery replacement, shipping, and long wait time is not acceptable to me.

I just don't have the time to mess around with sending this thing out once a year and waiting over a month for it to return. I don't recommend this product.
