Love the bottles, dislike the drop in liners

I used the Playtex disposable bottles with my daughter and loved them. Back then the liners were the kind you had to pull over the top of the bottle and tear the tabs off. When I had my son and bought the drop in liners I thought they would be great, no tabs to pull off, no guessing as to how much liquid was actually in the bottle but I was wrong. The drop in liners were okay in the 8 ounces bottles if you aren't using 8 ounces of liquid. I always pre-measure my water and then added the powdered formula when the bottle was needed and with the drop in liners I wasn't able to do that anymore once my son was drinking 8 ounces of formula. Playtex does still make the soft liners that have to be pulled over the top of the bottle and I would recommend them over the drop in liners. Another reason I would recommend them is it is easier to get the air out of the soft liners versus the drop in liners. My son does not spit up as much using the soft liners as he did using the drop in liners. I also believe the soft liners are easier to dispose of than the drop ins.
