no phone numbers for POI

The new AVIC-F series GPS systems are nice but they have a major shortfall.

When you select POI (Points of Interest) they give you the address of the POI, but no phone number. That greatly reduces the usefulness of having POIs.

For example, if you are looking for a hotel using POI, you can't call ahead to make a reservaton...you have to drive there to see if they have rooms. You can't call a restaurant to see if they are open. Can't call ahead to order a pizza and have it ready. Planning a trip or taking a trip becomes a lot more difficult when you don't have any phone numbers for POIs.

There are plenty of other GPS systems out there that give phone nummbers with the POIs. I don't understand why Pioneer would severly cripple the usefullness of their gps by not providing phone numbers.

I've used other GPS systems such as Garmin and it is common for me to call a POI. I amost bought the AVIC but have decided not having phone numbers is too big of a hassle and now I'm rethinking what GPS to go with.

It seems odd to give you bluetooth to help integrate your gps with your phone and then fail to give you any phone numbers. This also makes the value of having bluetooth also go down.
