Author's Review
I bought this after developing a horrible reaction to Bare Minerals Foundation. I have used MAC Studio Fix previously. But as my skin aged I found that my skin was not tolerating it very well. So I decided to buy Bare Minerals. It was a big mistake. I broke out in hives and got horrible cystic acne, which I had not had in years. It was so time consuming to put the make-up on because of all of it's steps. After having the bad reaction to Bare Minerals and having wonderful luck with philosophy's skin care products I decided to give the Supernatural Air Brushed canvas in Bronze (I have a medium complexion) a try. I am loving it! I love the fact that it is an all-in-one mineral make up. Unlike the Bare Minerals, you just apply it to the skin with either the applicator or the Airbrushed Brush which by the way is synthetic not Goat hair like the Bare Minerals brushes are, which cause allergies to sensitive skins. It takes about 15 minutes to do my make up as opposed to 30-35 minutes with the Bare Minerals due to all of the steps required to achieve a "natural" glow. The Finish is beautiful. Especially when you pair it with The Present by philosophy, which is an oil-free moisturizer/primer. I don't get oily and the enclosed applicator or the brush both feel so soft on the skin. I am a mother of 3 and let me tell you this saves so much time! Whenever I am in a rush I just gently apply it in a circular motion with the applicator all over and use the brush to blend it in, I put a tiny bit more on the areas I want to conceal...and presto done! It works wonders on the areas with scars that the Bare Minerals left me with. I love it! It doesn't leave a cakey finish or it doesn't look like a mask. It leaves a matte, natural, soft finish. You can remove the applicator to wash it, but it does take a while to dry. So I use the philosophy brush as a back up, or use the replacement sponges while the applicator or brushes are drying those cost about 3 dollars and last for months. I paid a little extra for the brush (airbrush brush) but it really is a nice, soft, durable brush especially to use in delicate areas such as the eye area.
