Good but not great

I will preface my whole review by saying these were given to me as a gift. The fact they were free make these very good headphones. Would I ever pay the $40-$50 at a store? No chance.

They are very comfortable in the ear. Overwhelmingly that is the best aspect of these headphones. Several other brands I have tried make my hears literally very sore after wearing for a good period of time. The neck strap and braided nylon cord are very nice features as well.

As for the noise cancellation, I really can't tell if it does much of anything. Even if it doing its' best to filter out noise the plastic part that goes into the ear is too thin so noise goes right through it.

The sound quality is supurb. Where other headphones get distorted these ones seem to excel. If I put the bass equalizer maxed out on my discman it makes you actually able to feel the bass. No other set I have tested has been able to make the bass sound good.
