Product Review

Love This DVD Player!

by   beaker28 ,   Sep 25, 2008

Pros:  It's cheap!

Cons:  It freezes up sometimes.

The Bottom Line:  I'd buy it again because it will last as long as any other DVD player but costs a fraction of the price.

Overall Rating: 4/5 stars

I love, love, love this DVD player. It may sound like a silly reason, but the main reason that I love it so much is that it's so cheap. It seems like every DVD player we have bought over the last eight years has self destructed after about a year. I really don't believe that DVD players are made to last very long. So, if you are going to buy a DVD player, I think it should be the cheapest one you can find.

We bought this DVD player for about $30 and it lasted longer than the previous one that costs $150. This one self destructed too, but it was only 30 bucks. After it died we bought another one for another 30 bucks. For this price you can buy several of them and have a few waiting in the wings for when the first one stops working.

On the technical side, it isn't super great- it does tend to freeze up occasionally and it then needs to be unplugged and plugged back in to get it going again. But, for 30 bucks I think that's a small price to pay for a disposable DVD player. Even with the freezing I am happy with this model.
