Now you can keep up with the latest going ons in Hollywood. Who is secretly dating who. Who is expecting a baby. Who got a divorce. Who is engaged to who.

I've never subscribed to People Weekly personally. But, my ex mother-in-law does give me her old copies as soon as she is done with them. I save a lot of money, and get plenty of reading material while relaxing in the tub or when I have a few minutes here and there.

Unlike other magazines that deal with celebrity gossip, People has more class. They don't put people down every chance they get or print false tabloids. People Weekly digs deep for the truth and it shows in their articles. They don't dig deep into the celebrities past just to get some juicy secrets to boost the sale of the magazine. What you read is what you get. Not only does People report stories on celebrities, they do stories on real life people.

Weekly Features

Mailbag- Here readers get to write in and voice their opinions on articles they read in past issues. Some of the people writing in are praising on a well-written piece, while some are rude and disagree with the author and let them know it. The mailbag is always entertaining to say the least.

Star Tracks- Here we can see pictures of celebrities with their family and friends, doing things outside of the spotlight. It keeps you update to date on things a few of your favorite celebrities do on their days off.

Scoop- Here they give as the down low on celebrities shows, lives, music, careers, movies and other celebrity background. They even tell us what celebrities have the houses up for sale. In December 18, 2000's issue they talk about Bette Midler's new show "Bette" and why they seem to change cast members so much, talk about Star Jones and her talk show and a few other insights on other celebrities.

Online- Here readers can ask questions about the do's and don'ts of the Internet. Every month one of the questions sent in is answered. Also highlights some celebrity's favorite online sites and other things that are going on in the world wide web world. In one issue a guy tells ho he asked his girlfriend to marry him by making a guest appearance on an Internet cartoon they watch together.

Picks & Pans- Every week we get highlights on the good and the bad of music, television, movies, and books. The writer of the articles tells us what is good and bad about the show and why we should and shouldn't watch it.

Insider- Celebrities tell what they liked and didn't like about working on movies or t.v. shows they've recently starred in. It's a behind the scenes look at their careers.

Passages- Here we get to see who is expecting and who has given birth to a bundle of joy, who is in court or in trouble with the law, updates on celebrities who may have fallen ill and who has recently passed away.

Style Watch- Read about who is wearing what and who is wearing something they should be ashamed to be seen in. Stars talk about their latest fashions and what they like and don't like for the latest fashions.

Puzzler-Get your pen or pencil ready. It's time to do a crossword puzzle, celebrity style. Answers for each puzzle are featured in the next weeks issue.

Chatter- Last minute thoughts from the celebrities on their careers, how it was working with someone in particular, what is going on in their life and anything under the sun.

People Weekly features great stories about people like you and me. Some interesting stories they recently featured are about a guy who descending Mt. Everest on skies. They has a story about women who was living alone in a tiny shed behind someone's house, and isolated from the world for 30 years. They had a touching story about a guy who helps out the less fortunate in a small town in South Dakota.

They also do feature stories on celebrities. They had a story and pictures of Michael Douglas' and Katherine Zeta-Jones' wedding and a story on the Beatles and their families. They had a feature story on someone all of us probably hear enough about nowadays, Robert Downey Jr. and his drug problems.

The layout is nicely done and easy to read. People Weekly does however have a lot of advertisements. People Weekly can be purchased on the newsstands at $2.95 a copy. Subscriptions are $103.48 a year in the U.S and $143.00 a year in Canada.
