My Favorite Movie!

The Plot- Hallie, a cool girl growing up in beautiful Napa Valley, and Annie, a prim and proper girl living in London, met at summer camp when forced to live in close quarters in the Isolation Cabin. Separated at birth because of their parent's divorce, the parents each took a twin and never spoke again. At camp, the truth about their past breaks through and Hallie and Annie discover that they aren't only children, they're sisters! More than that, they're twins!

Both girls are overcome with curiosity about their respective missing parents when Hallie thinks up a plan to get them back together. Each girl would go home in place of the other and meet their long-lost mother or father. Annie's hair is cut short and gets her ears pierced in order to look like Hallie. All it takes for Hallie is a faked British accent to become Annie. Hallie jets off to London to meet her beautiful, dress-designing mother and Annie flies to Napa to be with her grape-obsessed, vineyard-owning father.

The girls main objective is to get their parents back together. But when Hallie (really Annie, pretending to be Hallie) finds out that their father is going to be married to a young, beautiful woman named Merideth (who is only after his millions of dollars), a wrench is thrown into their plans. Suddenly, Annie (Hallie, pretending to be Annie) must bring Mom over to California to see Dad. They know that once they meet again Dad won't want to marry Merideth after all.

I won't spoil the ending for you (any more than I already did- sorry!). But let me just say that this was a really good movie for families to watch together or for kids to watch alone.

The Cast- A young Lindsay Lohan plays both Hallie Parker and Annie James in a dual role.
Dennis Quaid plays Nicholas 'Nicky' Parker, their father.
Natasha Richardson plays Elizabeth 'Lizzy' James, their mother.
Elaine Hendrix plays Merideth Blake, their father's fiance.

All In All- This was a very fine remake of the original 1961 Parent Trap. I could watch it again and again.
