Great Camera

I have owned the Panasonic Lumix FZ10 for several years, but it is quiet bulky and large. It's great for taking fancy picture but not fun to stick in your pocket during a birthday dinner or other fun event.

Because I was already fond of the Panasonic name I was thrilled to find a small light weight camera with the same brand. After a few minutes of playing in the store I was sold on making the purchase.

Once home we charged up the battery and opted no to install the program that came with the camera. It was the same as came with my other camera and to be honest not very friendly to work with. I prefer office windows manager or adobe photoshop far above what panasonic gives.

After taking the first picture my husband and I were immediatly happy with our purhcase. The easy of using the camara is wonderful. It is literally a point and shoot, yet you have the options of playing with things if you like. You can adjust the exposure, flash, scene, etc if you choose, but if you want to keep it simple there is really no need.

We have taken pictures in the dark, inside with light, outside during the sunny afternoon and all have come out wonderfully. We catch our dogs in motion with ease.

The battery life appears to be great. We have taken over 100 pictures with flash and the battery is still at full bars.

The only negative I can list is that once into the digital zoom (above 10) the picture becomes pixelated. But you still have a significant amount of zoom before that point, especially with such a small camera. I am used to seeing only 3 or 4 optical zoom, yet this on offers 5 plus digital zoom on top of that.

Overall I am very happy with our purchase and would recommend that camera to everyone.
