Panasonic DVD-S35 is awesome for the price!

I bought my Panasonic S35K model from Amazon for about $60 after a rebate. This is my second Panasonic DVD player. I bought another Panasonic because I liked the quality of my last one and the price and features made it hard to pass up. My old one still works like a charm (I just gave it to my in-laws), I just needed to upgrade.

Some of the neat features this model has:

- Video Zoom (Allows zooming of widescreen formatted movies
to make them fullscreen).

- Virtual Surround Sound (Gives you a more surrounding sound
even if you don't have a surround sound setup).
- Quick Replay
- Dialogue Enhancer

For the money, this DVD player rocks. It plays burned CDs and DVDs. I've tried it with burned DVDs and it works great. The picture is sharp and the colors are crisp. I haven't tried the MP3/WMA feature, but it sounds pretty cool. It also supports JPEG image playback which would be pretty cool if you wanted to do a slideshow at a party or something. The zoom mode is also cool. I buy all of my movies in widescreen, but my son prefers to watch them in fullscreen. No problem, just zoom in with the dial. Virtual surround sound is great for those who don't have a home theater system, but want the sound of one. Another cool sound feature is the dialogue enhancer. This is great for the movies where the dialogue seems drowned out by the soundtrack. The player will boost the dialogue and subdue the soundtrack so you can actually hear what is going on. One last feature which I enjoy is the quick replay. When watching a movie, you can hit this button and t will automatically replay the last 5 seconds (I think it is 5).

With these features and this price, I think this player is a great buy.
