Pros:  Makes good copies.

Cons:  Difficult to use, problems with the unit.

Overall Rating: 2/5 stars

Author's Review

After recording a program the unit started cycling into a loop in which the unit went into a recovery process. First it displayed a C22 code and then a U61 code and then a series of 000000 000000. Then it said BYE the date and after a minute it repeats the cycle. You can not interrupt the cycle with eject disk, reset etc. You can only pull the plug and when you turn it back on it starts the cycle over again. Tech support acknowledged the problem. Since it occurred with a disk in it you must return the unit for a repair. Otherwise they would send you a reprogramming disk. I suggested that it would be easier to return the unit and get a replacement. The technician indicated that I would just get another DVD recorder that would probably go bad and I would do better by getting this one repaired. Otherwise the unit seems to be OK. It takes a while to respond to commands such as eject. I may take 15 minutes to permanently write to the disk.
