Home Decor for the Dark Masses, Oh My!

Voltaire's Paint it Black is a funny yet informative look at painting your life (and your coffee table, and your toys, and your dog, and...)black and inviting the dark into your decor.

The book starts off with the basics: tools of the trade and creative weapons of construction. From there it takes to to overall decorating ideas and themes, followed by a series of projects to start with, and hopefully inspire some creative pursuits of your own.

The projects are all relatively simple and include some variation ideas as well. They require varying amounts of supplies (at a varying cost) but they're definitely meant to be done on the cheap.

Some of the projects seem a bit cheesy, but I'm sure with the right touches they'd look alright, and like I mentioned previously they're meant to be done on the cheap - there's only so much you can do on a tight budget.

Bottom Line:
I enjoyed this book immensely. Once again Voltaire's charm and wit shines through in this book. The projects are fun, easy and cheap to create. The book has an attractive layout suited to the overall feel of it. I highly recommend this one.
