Onkyo TX-SR606 7.1 Channels Receiver

I bought a close out TX-SR605 but was unhappy about the lack of Upscalingh. The 605 covered all the basics, but did not fill the entire tv screen when converting a component viedo input signal to HDMI output. I was able to return the unit and pick up the 606. Onkyo did a nice job with the updated unit. The have a better video signal processing unit. All video will upscale to 1080P and the sound is fantastic. Even when playing composit viedo, the 606 will fill the entire screen with a perfect signal.

I'm upgrading from a Sony STR 988 something. The Onkyo blows it away. Especially with sound quality. The sony often had trouble getting audio right.

The TX-SR606 is a great unit. Setup was easy. The video switching is exactly what I was hoping for and the sound quality blows away my old Sony. The unit looks great and is easy to use.
