You could spend more, but why!!

Inexpensive, but very good performer with plenty of power. I created my own 5:1 system and it will rock the room easily. Don't buy into the hype and spend $1,000 for a receiver just so folks will see it and say you are some kind of true audiofile. That's a bunch of bunk. You can waste your money or get a true value. Don't believe me? Go buy one and try it out at home. I can say with certainty it won't be going back to the store. You will love it.

Nice large buttons and good remote.

I have had mine almost a year and half with no defects.

One recommendation. Buy a powered subwoofer along with it. Yamaha and Sony make decent inexpensive models.
