Not the best Olympus product

Ok, Olympus has (in my opinion) always made reliable cameras. As far as I can tell, this one is very reliable. I have used mine almost daily since buying it. But let me say, I use it mostly because I am stuck with it. After paying 179.00 for it I feel obligated.

This little digital camera is lightweight and easy to use. One problem I have with it is the picture quality. At 5 megapixels I feel the pictures should be much clearer than they are. The 2.8 optical zoom is a good feature but there is no viewfinder. It will record movies but without sound. There is a shutter lag that seems long to me.

Here is my main problem with this camera, the software that comes with it. It runs slow, has minimal features and is not friendly for exporting pictures elsewhere on your computer. Maybe there is a way, but I have been unable to open my olympus pictures with another editing program.


They have an added 3D feature but it is not free and must be downloaded. After seeing the software packaged with this camera I am not inclined to send them any money for more of their software.

It is a good little camera if you just want to point and shoot but for any pictures where subjects may be moving I would not suggest using it. Even in auto mode movement causes blur.
