Author's Review
Whenever I think of OPI, I think of all the fun names they give their rich, beautiful nail colors. Aphrodites Pink Nightie. "Suzi Loves Sydney." Im Not Really A Waitress. Or the exotic locales they represent with their collections South America, India, Russia. Its an irresistibly fun product.
They come in every color and style under the sun: pastels, neon, and midnight-dark, fine shimmer or elegantly understated, housed in classy little bottles with some weight to the glass.
OPI nail lacquers also use a special brush. If youre getting your nails done at a salon, your tech will obviously be an expert; I did mine at home, though, and it took a little getting used to. Even after buffing, I was appalled at how streaky the first coat looked, considering these were supposed to be high-end polishes. Dont despair; you need only to apply a second coat and they look gorgeous. They also are long-lasting and dont chip easily.
The company itself is family-owned, with a charitable foundation that contributes to causes from local to international. They dont test on animals and have eliminated DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde from their nail lacquers. Whats not to love?
OPI lacquers can be found in professional salons for about $7.
