Nissan Maxima SE

I just purchased a 2006 Maxima SE with 12k miles this is how I purchase all my vehicles I think it's a waste of money to buy new due to the huge first year depreciation. This Maxima had a sticker of 34k when new and I ended up negotiating a buying price of $23,900 the car has a flawless silver finish the kind of factory paint job I've come to expect from Nissan. Interior is black with quality leather seats you would expect from a sedan in this price range. I drove both the SE model and the SL before I made my selection. The SL offered the softer ride without a doubt but I prefer the SE mainly because I like the 18 factory rims and tires opposed to the SL 17 inches and I like the more sport tuned suspension. The car is a rocket and acceleration is incredible the 3.5 motor has won awards for 9 years in a row. The new CVT tranny is seamless I love the technology and would like to see it used in more vehicles in the years to come. The Bose stereo sounds awesome it's not as loud as my 01 Cadillac STS Bose system but the STS when it was new cost 48K a different class of vehicle. Gas mileage is averaging out to 22.9 excellent in my opinon and better than I was hoping for. I am extremely pleased with this car but I expected to be. I traded in a 2002 Maxima and loved that car Nissan makes fine vehicles along with all the other japanese car companies. I started out my driving and buying auto life a loyal buy American person but after years of owning GM and Ford products I tried the Nissan and I'm never going back. The fit and finish and long problem free reputation is what my experience has been and I love it.
