New Native Carrier - Don't Buy This!
Date of Review: Mar 14, 2007
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this carrier. There are SO many better ones on the market.
This carrier is attractive because its made from organic fabrics. But that is truely the only positive thing I can say about this sling. I bought one in an oatmeal color and it shows every speck of dirt! The material that goes over your shoulder is not padded and it HURTS after carrying a 12lb pound baby for a while. Also, the material is SO thin that I didn't feel as if my baby was really safe. There also isn't any cushion for the baby - so my baby just seemed uncomfortable. I also found it incredibly hard to put on as the instructions included this this product are quite vague and I also felt it was difficult to get my baby in and out of the sling. It is promoted as being versatile enough to carry a toddler - but I feel that without any padding on the shoulders - it would be impossible to carry something as heavy as a toddler without a great deal of pain being involved. Plus, I don't know too many toddlers who are that keen on being carried anyways. I am going to sell this sling on ebay. I no longer want it. I bought an Infantio sling at Target and I can not say enough good things about it. SO much better than the New Native.
