Best thing since sliced bread!

Date of Review:  May 1, 2006
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this device for password management. It is a secure way of keeping password data.
Review: As I opened my desk drawer one day, I saw the ever-growing bulge in a file folder which contained website usernames and passwords. At first, I thought that I was just getting old and couldn't remember stuff anymore, but then realized that you have...

Microsoft Fingerprint Reader-- A timesaver for those that have many passwords

Date of Review:  Jul 12, 2005
The Bottom Line: A great product. Easy to use and takes the burden off those of us with poor memories.
Review: I find the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader to be a real timesaver. I have trouble remembering all of the passwords for different websites and this device eliminates the need for me to remember.

The reader doesn't replace your password with...

Convenient way to manage passwords

Date of Review:  Mar 7, 2007
The Bottom Line: This is a good consumer level reader to track application and webpage passwords. The minor annoyances of the software do not interfere with the functioning of the device.
Review: I bought this as an inexpensive way to keep a track of the plethora of passwords that I use every day. The fingerprint reader is accurate and can keep track of 10 prints. The reader itself is compact and connects via a USB cable.

Your chance to be James Bond

The Bottom Line: Awesome for young people who want a cool new gadget. Great for old folks with bad memory.
Review: HOW I BOUGHT:
I first discovered this fingerprint reader integrated on a keyboard. As cool as the fingerprint reader sounded, I already owned a wireless keyboard and didn't feel like spending a grip of cash to purchase a new version of...

Great little PC gadget

Date of Review:  Dec 21, 2005
The Bottom Line: Recommended for entertainment purposes. Not reliable (or secure) enough for serious use.
Review: I didn't really need this, but I figured it would make me feel important if I had to use a fingerprint scanner to get access to my PC. I've owned it for about 6 months now and it hasn't worn off yet. For a supplement to the Windows XP login screen,...

Microsoft Fingerprint Reader pretty much ROCKS!

Date of Review:  Sep 28, 2005
Review: My son bought me one for my birthday because I didn't want to part with the $40 to buy one myself. Now that I've got one, I'm getting one for myself at work, one for my wife, my Dad, and probably a couple as gifts. Aside from being terribly cool, it...

Review: This thing works well for logging in to my computer, and for applications that require passwords, but does not work in firefox. It only works with IE. I can't help but think that they built that in.
