This washer and dryer replaced a 20 year old Kenmore top load set that I got for free. Being a single guy I wanted this to be my first and last set of washer/dryer I ever purchase. I did a lot of research and ultimately decided on these. The cheapest around ended up being from the big orange home center place. They really will beat anything. Even that abc place. Now as far as simplicity of use, it doesn't get any easier. 3 buttons and it's running. Quiet as can be. Except the spin does sound like a 747 jet is firing up in your laundry room, but that's ok because when the close come out, they are almost dry. Detergent is not a big deal, I already was using the ALL 3X concentrate, not he stuff, but concentrated. It's been working fine. I think it's the same stuff. I've done, small loads, large loads, queen size comforter, sheets etc. All have come out great. Even a friend was in from out of town with wife and child. They did a couple loads with little people socks and such which had no problem. They say those can get trapped in the door. No issue here. Sheets don't get tangled all together.
Like I said, dryer works great too. Very quiet. Oh, the whiter than white setting is great. They really do come out white. I compared my t-shirts with ones that were supposedly clean in my drawer. These were whiter.
Only thing I don't care for is leaving the door ajar to let it dry inside. But I guess that's because I'll go a week without using it sometimes.
