Don't Buy This Microwave

This is the worst microwave oven I have ever owned. We bought it approximately 2.5 years ago when we were remodeling our kitchen. We had two service calls while the unit was under warranty in which numerous key components were replaced. Now, approx. 3 months out of warranty the unit has failed again. In searching the Internet I have found that the problem I am experiencing is well known to Maytag and very common. When I contacted Maytag I was told that 1) I got what I paid for and it is my problem now that the unit has failed; 2) It is irrelevant that every appliance in my home is Maytag and that I have been a loyal customer for a long time. The fact that I have spent more than $2500 on Maytag products in the last 2 years is irrelevant. I got what I paid for as far as the microwave is concerned. 3) To have someone come out and look at the unit would cost me $132.95 for the service call alone; and 4) A young lady named Melissa who sounded to be about the age of one of my children told me she was the ultimate authority on what type of service Maytag would afford me. Needless to say I will NEVER buy another Maytag product.
