The Bottom Line: Unless you have a good use for black mold or enjoy clothes that smell like mildew, avoid this machine.

Must Buy New Motor When Card Fails Although Motor Warranty Is 10 Yrs

The Bottom Line: Unrecommended; but you may want to consider if you can get cheaply enough; take extended warranty into consideration - you will need it for the life of machine.
Review: If you've researched this machine at all, you will know that it has major defects with the controller cards - both the motor controller and the master controller cards. However, these machines are deeply discounted and some have coupons for years...

Maytag Neptune is a POOR INVESTMENT

Review: I will never EVER purchase another Maytag product and strongly advice others the same.

Our Neptune washer gave the LR error.

We called the "Maytag Service Company of St. Louis" and they came out and made the repair for $328.00...
