Many Waters can not quench my thirst for more L'Engle

Date of Review:  Feb 26, 2000
Review: Many Waters, the fourth book in the Wrinkle in Time series, is more of a companion novel than an actual part of the original trilogy. Devoted readers will no doubt miss Meg and Charles Wallace as this book focuses on the twins--Sandy and Dennys.

Entertaining story!

Date of Review:  Apr 6, 2000
Review: The fourth book in the Wrinkle in Time series, this is one book I can happily say does NOT suffer if read out of order! It seems not really to be part of the series in that it focuses on Dennys and Sandy Murry, rather than the other children. If...

A Truely Wonderful Companion

Date of Review:  Jun 14, 2000
Review: As a companion to A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door and A Swiftly Tilting Planet, L'Engle returns us to the unique and never boring Murray family. This time, however, she chooses two of the formerly minor characters to write her story about.

A story that doesn't leave you treading water.

Date of Review:  Jul 6, 2001
The Bottom Line: Many Waters is a suspenseful page turner, clever, spiritual, and heartwarming. Madeleine L'Engle aims to please, and duly hits her mark with this fourth volume of the Time Quartet.
Review: I've been reading Madeleine L'Engle's books since I was about 9 years old. A Wrinkle In Time and A Wind in the Door impressed me, but didn't really capture my interest too much. I've always been more into historical fiction than into science...
