Better than playing in the rain

Last weekend it poured rain and my usual foursome all cancelled. Luckily we were able to meet up online and heckle each other at St. Andrews old course.

I have played older versions of links and they do not compare to the graphics and realism of the latest version. From the sound of jets and geese or my buddy opening a beer during my tee shot to the way the ball always sticks in the rough it is almost like playing a real course (without the need for an umbrella).

A few of my friends have other current golf games but none of them seem to give you the control or game options that Links does. It's nice to be able to pick from a wide array of game rules or make your own. Then jump on the net and seek revenge for all of last Sunday's double bogies.
