This phone, the LG VX5400, is good for anyone who is not expecting any urgent calls or doesn't use it as an alarm clock.  My phone, as do many LGs, goes into a coma two or three times a day.  It shuts off without any warning or for any apparent reason.  It has nothing to do with the battery or any sort of memory overload.  It just...goes to sleep!

But the texting format, once you get used to it, is good.  The phone is very customizable and there are many volume settings.  Pictures take well, and clearly, if not a little slowly.  I've never really had a problem with reception or with hearing anybody on the other line.

The pros and cons are about even.  It's a good phone, but I'm sure there are better ones out there.
