A solid combo dvd recorder/vcr

The Bottom Line: It is the best performing recorder I have tried with double layer media. The layer change is not descernible at all.

It's broke

Review: I wish that I could say that this is a great product and that I'm very pleased, but unfortunately I'm not.

It's a shame to hear that these devices are prone to locking up, and unfortunately, I'm also victim of a bad unit.

Lock-up problems

Review: The recorder I bought has "locked up" or "crashed" three times, where the only way to make it function is to unplug the recorder. The LG help line says another way to unlock the box is to press and hold the stop button, so the company is apparently...

Needs Repair After 6 Months

Review: My RC797T no longer reads DVD's from Netflix. A call to LG tells me that I need to send it in for repair, to the tune of $70.00 plus packing the thing up and paying for shipping. Disappointing, and I'm not likely to buy an LG electronic item again...
