Good quality Color Laser at a Good Price

This was my first color laser after years of using ink-jets. I wanted something for better quality printing for my consulting business.

I'm not an expert, so I can't really compare and contrast vs other brands or models, but I'm satisfied with the color quality. Since so much depends on the quality of the paper you print on, that can be a very important facet of any color printing. Don't skimp on cheap paper, and you will probably be satisfied with almost any color printer.

That said, only one real complaint - the toner carts installed at the factory don't last long. They're rated for 3000 sheets but my yellow ran out far before that, and my black is down to 5%. And new carts cost around $200 each - so a complete toner refill (four carts) will cost more than the printer did new. However, the retail carts are rated at 6000 sheets, so they may last a bit longer.

This thing is HEAVY, as well - nearly 80 pounds. Find a good solid spot for it, and leave it there.
