The KitchenAid KUDM03FT works well. It gets dishes clean, it's easy to operate, it's attractive, and it's very quiet - quieter than most KitchenAid dishwashers, let alone those from other manufacturers. The last is vitally important to me because the master bedroom in my house adjoins the kitchen, and the dishwasher isn't more than eight feet from the head of my bed. It's quiet enough that I can sleep through the wash cycle with the bedroom door open.
It does a very good job on dishes, glasses, and even roasters and casseroles. The top shelf can be adjusted high enough to wash a twelve-quart stock pot in the bottom rack, yet it can also be lowered if necessary. There's a separate cutlery rack along the very top (a third rack, they call it) which would be handy for holidays, but for normal occasions the silverware basket is adequate. Some of the tines in the top rack can be folded down to fit irregular items.
I really like this dishwasher and I'm glad I bought it. It matches my other KitchenAid appliances and really makes the kitchen look sharp. (I also like the clean front - the controls are in the top of the door, not out front, and that really makes a difference.)
