Beautiful, Quiet and Clean!

We settled on this dishwasher based on the Kitchen Aid name, the stainless tub and the top tier for flatware. In a day and age when expensive appliances are only expected to last a few years, we wanted a name we could trust and could count on for as long as we were in our home! We have had the dishwasher for about a year now and love it. We have an open floor plan and any noise would have an effect on our living room. We cannot hear the washer when it is running. It really is quiet. It does have a start delay but we have never seen the need to use that.

Our counter top allows for us to see the buttons on the top edge of the door. If your counter will completely cover this edge, it will be hard to determine when the cycle is complete and will be hard to access the buttons to select the cycle and start the process.

Our biggest complaint is that you really cannot put clean or totally rinsed dishes in this machine. The sensors will not be able to tell that the dishes need as much cleaning as they do unless there is dirt there for it to sense. We had been conditioned to almost completely washing our dishes prior to filling our old dishwasher and quickly stopped that with this one.

Although pricey the machine is beautiful, sturdy, amazingly quite and has not had an issue to date. We would buy another one and would recommend it.
