KitchenAid Architect KDSS907SSS Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Range

purchased the range from an indepedent kitchen shop in Santa Cruz, CA. Thought I'd get good impartial advice.... NOT!
We went for this stove for two reasons, A. we liked the design & features and B. the salesman convinced us it was a great range.
Only had it for a week and just getting used to it .. so will update this review as time goes by.
my first annoyance is the fan noise .. why use a cheap noisy fan ?? it even comes on when using the gas top for a while. my second annoyance is the electric "broiler" in the oven.. this comes on to pre heat the oven, but also comes on again if the door has been opened to check meat or baste etc and the oven temp drops ... this broiler could easily burn a roast when on and just burnt the top of turkey!

If i had done my homework and looked at the Consumer Reports reviews, I would have known this is a poorly rated manufacturer, in fact the lowest ! I could kick myself now.
