Wonderful safety gate

When we moved into our home we immediately realized that we had a serious safety problem with the stairs leading down to our basement. This stairway has a banister on one side and a wall on the other side. Finding a gate that could attach to a banister was not easy! This Kidco Safeway Gate was the only one that was adaptable for us but it is wonderful. We needed to buy one extension kit, for the banister side. This extension kit was basically two pieces of wood that together made a bracket which the gate attached to. The gate is super safe, and even my three year old hanging on it stayed put and did not let him fall. THe gate locks so easily for adults but kids can not figure it out. I highly recommend this saftey gate for any area you do not want your child to get through.
