Author's Review
When our POS Dodge Caravan died, we needed a car and quick.
We could not afford nor wanted another van and gas is expensive now so we started to look at small cars, 4 door compacts, specifically. We also did not want a used car, neither.
In the new car market, the $15,000 and under segment is owned basically by the Koreans and soon the Chinese I suspect. That's what we had to spend and KIA and Hyundai and Chevy and Suzuki were willing to oblige. All were Korean made models that were high on value.
After looking around we settled on the KIA Spectra EX.
It's 2006 model and has many features for such a cheap car.
Including ABS, which is rare but was on this one as a $400 option.
It has Auto, A/C, power everything, 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS, heated mirrors and seats, CD stereo system, remote entry, etc.
It a good value.
And the Warranty, 10 years and 100,000 is icing on the cake.
But this is no spirited driver, it wont send your pulse racing, it's basic transportation with some flair, no more, no less. If you're looking for more, you'll be disappointed.
It's not a bad car, no. It's a good car put together nicely.
It will get you from point A to point B with no problems.
