Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker

I received my Keurig B40 for Mother's Day. We had done some research and read the reviews and decided to give this machine a try. I am the only coffee drinker, and I drink maybe a few cups spread out through the day. Consequently, I was always wasting coffee by not drinking a whole pot, and throwing away what had been sitting on the warmer for hours.

I love this machine!!!! It makes a great cup of hot coffee every time. It is a bit on the noisy side, but only for a couple of seconds, while the machine is filling. My one month old baby can sleep through it - if that gives an indication. The K-cups are nice - sealed so the coffee is always fresh. They can be a bit pricey and are an investment if you like a lot of variety.

I love the Gevalia brand, but they do not make K-cups, so we purchased the "My K-Cup" filter, which allows you to use your own coffee instead of buying the K-cups. I was skeptical after reading some negative reviews, but after using it, my guess is those people didn't read the directions, or clean the filter properly, or overfilled it. I use it multiple times a day - with none of the problems others have had. Even cleaning it before every use still takes less time than brewing a whole pot. So, I am wasting less coffee, and will have to purchase coffee less frequently. So, if you are drinking premium brands such as Gevalia or Starbucks, your coffee dollars will go a little further.

Overall, this is a great product. Take all the negative reviews in stride.
