Author's Review
After all the commotion over the first JLo c.d entitled 'On the Six', Jennifer Lopez's new music heat began to fade. Her music videos, and remixes of songs ended up becoming better than her c.d. However, she is persistent and has continued to fight her way up to the top. With 'If you had my Love' widely being played for a year or so, she needed something just as fierce to grab her audiences attention for her new c.d self titled 'JLo' to become a hit. Written by Damon Sharpe, Greg Lawson, Georgette Franklin, Jeremy Monroe, and Amille D. Harris, 'Love Don't Cost A Thing' is born. This is JLo's hit song which has allowed her to advance higher in this competitive music industry. However, has this new c.d improved for her last?
The answer to this startling question is Yes! She has co-written eight of the sixteen songs which includes:
I'm Real
Walking on Sunshine
Ain't It Funny
Carino
We Gotta Talk
Secretly
I'm Gonna Be Alright
I'm Real (Remix w/ Ja Rule)
She has spiced up her c.d with salsa, pop, r&b, and a bit of rap which has made it interesting to listen to. On of her hit wonders is 'Ain't It Funny' which has incorporated a flamenco, spaniard rythem to it, 'Carino' which has a salsa beat, and 'Come Over' which is a slow r&b song strongly advised for seduction purposed. It is a great improvement over her last c.d, and perhaps she will prove like a fine wine that improves over time.
