J14, Just for Teens
Pros:
Good articles and quizzes, great for pop music, celeb gossip, embarassing stories, horoscopes.
Cons:
Posters. They aren't my thing and I would rather have articles replace posters.
The Bottom Line:
I recommend you buy an issue of this magazine and check it out if you like the new music, and celeb gossip.

Author's Review
I never really did read J14 when I was younger, but I was always into music. I discovered J14 when I recieved it as a present and I liked it. Many people say it is for "teeny boppers", and that is somewhat true since it has "celeb gossip", and "cute boys"(I don't find them that cute), but I still read teen magazines because they keep me on the edge of my seat.
The cover really shows some stuff. "Who's Ashley in a fight with?", and those kind of stories which is what you should look for when you spot a J14. Look for the articles you like best, and whichever J14 has the most of your likes, get it. The average price in Cananda is 4.99, and in America it is 2.99 or somewhere near. I think I have only seen one magazine for teens that was 3.99 in Canada, so I took that oppurtunity.
Remember, J14 has the popular, "it" stuff in it. When you flip through the pages, you will see the new music, and not The Beatles. Ashlee Simpson, Avril Lavigne, Greenday, Simple Plan, Chad Michael Murray, Jesse Macartney, Hilary Duff, and Eminem are all celebrities you will find in there, as well as others. There are lots of boys, or "guys" in there, and some fashion tips, and some quizzes, and articles. Keep in mind, now-a-days every celebritie male is "cute". I don't agree. Drake Bell, just because he has a tv show, he gets into J14, and he is called "cute". Oh well.
The articles are the most important to me. I like to read the stuff in J14, and the posters aren't much to me. The posters are mainly celebrity boys, and pop singers, and groups, such as "Simple Plan". The only way to see the BIG posters are to rip them out of your magazine, and I don't know about you, but to me I would rather keep them in and have the whole magazine all together. There are tiny one-page size posters too, which you can view right away, and it names the celebrity at the bottom corner. It seems in every issue there is one big poster of Jesse Macartney.
At the back of the magazine they have your horoscopes. I like to read horoscopes every chance I get, just to see if by a coincidence they are somewhat the same. They include luck, school, boys, fashion, sports (everything) in your J14 horoscopes.
And what is also at the back are some contests to enter, and embarassing stories. You can win prizes if you enter a contest, and there are different prizes in each issue of J14. The embarassing stories: I enjoy. Some are truely embarassing, others are not so embarassing, some are plain funny (most are plain funny), and others make me feel sorry for the person who it happened to. But, overall the embarassing stories sent into J14 are okay to read. I believe that J14 would NOT let someone send in a perverted story, about anything unappropriate. I have read some embarassing stories on the web, which are bullying, and very cruel, and those kinds of stories are not funny, while the embarassing stories in J14, with no bullying, are hilarious.
Some other teen magazines out there are Bop, Tigerbeat, Popstar, and M. Each one is similar, including articles, posters, contests, boys, fashion, and horoscopes and embarassing stories. Some magazines have more posters than others, some magazines have more articles. They all have the same base of information, expanding to different spots. If you are a huge fan of Jesse Macartney, then all of them are good to look into, but especially Bop. Bop is obsessed with "JMac".
