Product Review

Kid/family friendly dual fuel

by   fbeard101 ,   Oct 28, 2005

Pros:  Burner control knob location, 5 burners, 2 ovens 30" width

Cons:  No room left for storage

The Bottom Line:  If you want gas burners but have toddlers this is the one. The 5th burner and extra oven are bonuses.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

My wife and I had been talking about getting a gas range for a couple of years - but after a talk with sales person we decided maybe it wasn't a good idea since we had a toddler and was expecting another. We were told all gas control knobs were on the front of the stove to keep people from burning themselves when adjusting the flame -We knew a gas control knob would be way too inviting for our son and any other little one that may be visiting. So we put our dream on hold. Then one day last year we came across this model and instantly fell in love. 30" wide (no need to remodel), knobs on the side (out of reach of little hands), 5 burners (can't have too many burners!), and 2 electric ovens (ever want to bake all the cookies at the same time?). I had to run a gas line and move the electrical outlet a little - the gas project took a weekend and the outlet about 2-3 hours. Anyway, we finally have our dream range and couldn't be happier. Although we've only had it a short time I decided to write this review because of the knob/kid issue...
