Was That A Crack Rock???

One of the greatest lessons in tolerance can be learned from this or any other Charlie Brown movie. Charlie Brown is like a born loser but he even though by todays standards he should be going postal and destroying his opressors like kids of today seem to do quite often.

Charlie Brown takes abuse from all his friends and even his neighbors. They're always insulting them. Most kids would have retaliated, but not Charlie. He just takes it.

While all the other kids are getting candy on halloween, Charlie keeps getting rocks. Most kids would take that rock and launch it at the house that gave it to them,, but not Charlie. He just takes it in stride and keeps trudging along.

Linus misses out on trick or treating because he's hanging out in the pumpkin patch waiting for his hero "The Great Pumpkin". Sally stays with him because she has such a crush on Linus. That all changes when the great pumpkin never shows,, then she gets all mad at him because she didn't get to go trick or treating and now has no candy and no great pumpkin either.

As in all Charlie Brown flicks, Snoopy always steals the show. He gets all decked out in his WWI fighter garb and goes out in search of his arch enemy "the red barron" He also does some really cool dance segments that will get most any kid laughing.

Linus continues to wait for the great pumpkin even after the rest had gone to sleep. It's kind of depressing but then his sister "Lucy" comes out in the middle of the night to find Linus cold and shivering so she does the sisterly thing and brings him in the house, showing that even though Lucy is the crankiest meanest kid, that she still has some compassion.

If you haven't seen this classic yet, then go see it. Get a copy for the kids. They'll enjoy it long into their teen years.
