Initial 1250 Portable DVD Player in Black

We were looking at either renting a mini van with a DVD player for a 12 hour trip or buying a portable DVD player for our own mini van, it was extremely hard to find a van to rent with one and when we did, it was over $500. So we said, what if we bought our own DVD player for our own van? We compared and found out quickly that the bigger the screen, the better. So we were at CompUSA and saw this model, it was great, expensive, ($400) but we thought, well, it IS a long drive in the car! So we were very leery of the brand "Initial", never heard of it. The sales guy said we've never heard of it because thats all they make and they used to make players for the other companies. So we thought, OK, he's just selling to us, but we have to say, we LOVED IT!! We actually got a second one just to compare (Polaroid 10") and put them side by side. The Initial brand was better quality picture, better sound, easier to work, better everything. So we took back the Polaroid and took the Initial on our trip in the mini van. It was wonderful, the kids loved it. It had 2 head phone jacks and we got a special carrying bag that held it between the seats perfectly (Targus brand at Circuit City $40) The bag we got separately came with all the straps and the car plug adapter. So if the only thing holding you back is that the name brand is unknown, don't worry, this one is great! We have never written a review for anything before, and we felt as though we just had to for this one, because we were so surprised of the great quality. We even took this unit into restaurants with us on our trip and were able to hook up the headphones and have the kids watch a video while we all ate, it was wonderful!
