Well Done!

I am facinated by Emma Thompson! I think I have seen every movie she has ever been in. So "Howard's End" was a must see for me! Another star that I enjoy is Anthony Hopkins, who plays Mr. Wilcox, husband to Vanessa Redgrave's character who is ill and befriends the independant Miss Margaret Schlegal (Thompson's character)and wants to show her cottage, Howard's End. She never get's to see it while her friend is living, but upon her death Redgrave's character indicates that she wants it to go to Miss Schlegal. Events unfold that include scheming, infidelity, forgiveness and eventually she ends up...oh, sorry don't want to give away the ending!


Director James Ivory does a wonderful job portraying the twist of events and getting the actors to be very real in their conflicting attitudes of social prejudice and the accompanying feelings.

A wonderful "Chick Flick". My hubby doesn't watch Emma Thompson movies, so I recruit my friends to watch it with me!!
