No excuses here, I am horrible about putting my CD/s DVD back in their cases. As a result I end up with scratched up movies and music discs. I don't watch any television cable or otherwise. However I do watch a lot of movies via Netflix and buying DVD's.  After a few years I have more than a few movies that skip, freeze or brain cramp from scratches.  So when I noticed the Skip Dr. I thought if it is able to fix just two or three of my DVD'd it'll pay for itself, so I picked it up for about thirty bucks. There are a couple of different models available; the battery operated one and a hand cranked one, I purchased the battery operated model.

How to Use:
1 --- Dust /or wipe disc clean of dust
2 --- Spray the resurfacing fluid onto the disc
3 --- Place the disc into the Skipdr
4 --- The Skipdr will buff the entire disc in about 40 seconds and eject it when complete
5 --- Then use the buffing pad supplied and buff the disc using straight lines (not circular).

Conclusion

I have found that using the Skipdr fixes most of my DVD's the first time around. However I have had to run a couple of my DVD's twice to get some of the deeper scratches buffed out. To be fair my movie DVD's were not badly scratched. Now off to my pick-up where I have my Johnny Cash & CCR CD's scattered out from the glove box to the seat. Hey I am a bachelor I can do that if I want to ;-) Some of these discs had been bouncing around with my bullets and K-Bar for a year. So I put the Dickdr to the test. I would have been impressed if it would have fixed any of them. It repaired about five of the ten CD's.  It repaired all of my movies that had minor scratches. So this thirty dollar gadget has paid for itself about ten times over for me. I have no doubt it'll fix a few more after next hunting season. You know how hunting season goes!  The buffing wheel has to be replaced after fifty discs. Skipdr also sells the buffing pads and resurfacing fluid separately. So the next time I go to the big city I'll be picking up some spare parts for my Digital Innovations Skipdr. If you, your husband or your kids are hard on discs of any kind this would be a smart purchase. Just remember it fixes scratches and not breaks or deep gouges and you won't be disapointed.
