It's paid for itself over and over!

So far I've had my Hoover steam cleaner 1 full year. We needed to purchase a carpet cleaner due to our adoption of a wonderful German Shepherd dog. While our dog is completely housetrained, inclement weather causes him to track in some rather large paw prints. (Even though he patiently waits by the door while we towel off his paws, there's always a paw print to be had.)

Like many other people I read customer reviews and did my research.
I did have my doubts and was prepared to call a carpet cleaning service to take care of the job for me.  Boy, I'm glad I purchased this machine instead. I have used  it at least 7 times in the past year with no problems of any kind and with spectacular results.  I've used professional cleaning services before and can honestly tell you that my Hoover does an even better job.  Although another reviewer has mentioned not having to rinse the carpet because of the carpet conditioning ingredient in the detergent, I have found that my carpets seem to stay cleaner longer when I do rinse them. So anyone who purchases this machine may want to experiment with this technique themselves. I use very hot water straight from the tap for regular cleaning and rinsing.  I do want to add that while you stop the machine to refill detergent tank or empty recovery tank, make sure to suck any water from where the machine was standing and then continue. Not a big deal though because this machine has great suction.  It does a great job and if you love clean carpets like I do, you won't be dissapointed. Even if my machine quits working tomorrow, I would have to say that it didn't owe me a thing!
