A Good Read

My husband got me a subscription to home as a housewarming gift--knowing that I would want help decorating my first house.
I really like it, but sometimes it is difficult to tell the ads from the articles. There are a lot of ads, but that is where most of my decorating ideas come from. They have a shopping resources page that lets you know where to find items in the articles/pictures. They also have a page where you can order literature on products--some free some for a small fee plus a $2 handling fee.
The "writing home" section is my favorite. Readers ask a question about how to do something and they give a very good answer and follow it with where to go for more information. An article in the current "home safe" section deals with internet security and how to keep your data secure when using e-tailers.
I don't know how much my husband paid for the subscription, which comes every other month. The cover price is $2.99 which seems to be a decent value.
One problem I have had with my subscription is that the magazine doesn't always arrive in a timely manner--I got my December/January issue in January so the Christmas stories were wasted on me.
