Pack Your Things...You're Going on a Magical Journey

Although I wouldn't recommend this movie for small children, I would definitely recommend it for children of the ages 9 and above (that includes all of you adults out there).

We are in a time when most television programs, and even movies intended for children, flash rapidly from one scene to the next with little reason or planning. This movie brings back memories of the epics and long tales that our parents, and the great figures of our history, were brought up on.

This movie allows you and your children to travel on a quest that requires perseverence and bravery. You are venturing into unknown lands and meeting strange and sometimes frightening creatures. Which of us can not benefit from that?

This movie most likely won't have your children singing catchy jingles and clapping hands or stomping feet. But if the journey I've described is as needed in your lives as it is in most of ours then please give this wonderful movie a chance.
