Really Fast, No Vista Disk

I've had this printer for a few weeks.

The big drawback to this printer at the time of this writing was the disk that came with the printer wouldn't work for Vista. I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with tech getting the driver's installed. They hope to have a disk available in a few months.

Once I got it installed, and printed about 30 pages, it was done "way too fast," and my first thought was it ran out of paper, but it hadn't. All my pages were printed!

I like the printer properties page, because it opens directly into the printing shortcuts page, giving you a icon for single or double sided printing. With the HP 1320, I needed to go to properties, then finishing.

The printer looks very similar to the 1320, but the sheet feeder is most improved over the feeder in the 1320. Allowing more than one page at a time.

I planned to purchase a cheap $100 printer, but studying the toner cartridges, I settled on this model. While the cheaper models had toner with 1500 pages per cartridge at around $60, this one uses two possible cartridges, 3000 pages (around $80) and 7000 pages (around $150).

The P2015d also duplexes, a must for any printer. I used printers that have manual duplex ability making the user turn the pages over and resend them, and that can increase the number of visits to the printer repair shop due to printer jams. Just one printer repair shop will more than cover the difference in cost.
