Extremely bad A3 printing

I had the device 1.5 days and then a carriage collision occurred when trying to print A3. Repair took nearly 2 weeks!
After 1 year - just outside warranty - again carriage collision when printing on A3
Printing A4 is better - no jams - but mediocre image quality even with HP paper.
I do not recommend this printer, not for home or hobby and certainly not for the office.
The repair for the carriage jam is now more than the dump prices they charge in order to get rid of all the stock.
The default paper size for the printer is A3 and when you try to print to an A4 the printer spits out the paper and you have to start over again.
