Hewlett Packard 1050 Plain Paper Inkjet Fax

We bought this machine due to HP's reputation (we have several other HP products and are happy with them all) and because of the built-in answering machine. It was to replace a Panasonic fax/answering machine we had for several years because the quality of the answering machine had become difficult to understand.

The HP 1050 answering machine is extremely poor quality, and the messages cannot be understood. It is even worse than the old Panasonic we had for several years which we were replacing.

The fax machine produces a good quality image, but it does not work with other machines from which we have had no problem receiving and sending faxes with our old Panasonic machine. The HP 1050 spews paper out as there is no tray to receive the faxed document.

Over all, a very poor product - especially the answering machine component. Do not buy it.
