Heat

I normally don't go for the cops and robbers types of movies but this one is so well done that I had to make an exception. There is very little not to like about this movie. The story, the actors, the characters, the plot, and the acting are all great.

I gave this movie an 8+ out of 10.

Background:

I am a 25-year-old male engineering and computer science student living in SC. I do have a large humanities background.

Overview:

When you consider the cast, all top actors, it is hard to imagine this movie not being good. Basically you have bank robbers going for that last great heist. And of course the have the lead detective and his crew who are out to stop them. Before the movie is over these two groups are going to have to settle who runs things in this town.

The story is intense and you end up pulling for both sides. You want the bad guys to get caught and then you don't want them to get caught. Then you want the police to catch them and then you want them to get away. This is one of the few movies I have seen in a while that do as good a job on the bad guys as they do on the good guys.

The movie is filled with great plot twist with each group trying to outsmart the other group. Not only do the robbers have the cops to face but another group of criminals is out to get them too and one of their ex-crew members is spreading the word about where they are.

End the end the movie becomes an all out action movie. If I had a dollar for every round fired...

I think this movie is a must see for most people that like the genre at all.
