The Best One Yet
Date of Review: Jun 11, 2004
The Bottom Line: Awesome movie, Even if you havn't seen the others.
If you havn't heard yet, this Harry Potter Movie is the latest and greatest in the series.
The first two films were directed by a man named Chris Columbus, but this one is directed by Alfonso Cueraon, who directed Y Tu Mama Tambien.
This film is the best in the series. The direction, screenplay, special effects, and acting are all the best by far. The three actors playing Ron, Harry, and Hermione are finally coming into their own as actors, and it shows. Not once in the movie did I cringe at an akward line, or really poor acting like I did in the first two.
In this film the murderous Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban, the wizarding prison. It is believed through the Ministry of Magic, that Sirius is after Harry. As a result the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, has orderd the borders of Hogwarts to be guarded by the prison guards, the Dementors. The dementors are horrible creatures that prey on happy emotions, leaving one feel only dispair.
It is great once again to see the wonderful book by J.K. Rowling translated into a film, (which is done quite well). But what i really enjoyed was seeing everyone mature. All of Harry, and Rons friends from the first two films are back, including Draco Malfoy, but they all look much older.
This is the best movie of the Harry Potter series so far. Great Direction, Great Music, Great Acting, Great Screenplay adaptation.
